Also know as "white graphite", hexagonal boron nitride (h-BN) is a material similar to graphite with special properties that make it desirable in many industrial applications. While being a good lubricant, h-BN is also thermally stable, chemically inert and an insulator. The combination of being both an electrical insulator and a thermal conductor makes it a good choice for specialized technical applications that require these properties. Common applications of hexagonal boron nitride include: stable high temprature lubricant, ceramics, cosmetics, electrical insulation, lens coating for electrial apparati and starting material for the production of cubic boron nitride. ApexChem hexagonal boron nitride comes in two grades (99.9% and 99.99% h-BN). Both grades are independently tested for purity.
